My Peace Corps Mongolia Experience

Contact

Please send me Emails, IMs, letters, and/or packages! Tell me what’s going on in the States, ask me about the Peace Corps, or find out how my Mongolian language training is going. All contact and communication while I’m abroad is greatly appreciated!

Phone Update: I have a phone! Ask me for my phone number and I’ll give it to you. This may be the best way to contact me, besides email. Nowadays, it is my most favored form of communication. Possibly because I don’t get very many calls.

Letters and packages

Few developing countries offer the level of service considered normal in the United States. Mail to Mongolia generally takes 2-4 wks to arrive, and some mail may never arrive. Here are some mail tips that will make your package have a higher probability of reaching me in one piece:

  1. Include the word “Airmail” on envelopes
  2. Do not use a variety of interesting stamps
  3. Use sturdy, well-taped boxes for packages to discourage tampering
  4. Write “via China” on mail
  5. Use padding for breakable items, even CDs

I am stationed in a new city for my 2 year assignment. Here is my mailing address until August 2010:
